This semiannual gathering is an opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, exchange ideas, hear the latest program and research updates, and strengthen collaboration across the ADRC network. We hope you’ll join us for three days of learning, conversation, and connection.
A new study from the NYU Alzheimer's Disease Research Center found that participants with Long-COVID were significantly more likely to develop mild cognitive impairment than those who fully recovered from COVID-19 or were never infected. Leveraging the NACC Uniform Data Set and longitudinal ADRC data, the study highlights the value of standardized clinical assessments in investigating the long-term neurological effects of COVID-19 and identifying potential pathways for future research.
Spatial Cognition and Navigation in Aging & AD/ADRD

The National Institute on Aging (NIA) is organizing this virtual workshop that seeks to bring together leading investigators in spatial cognition and navigation research to foster cross-disciplinary dialogue and catalyze innovative collaborations.
NACC has transitioned to a ticketing system to better support our growing network of colleagues, partners, and researchers. This new system will allow NACC to provide tracking, transparency, and continuous improvement to our support process. NACC also offers many self-support options on the ADRC Support and Researcher Support pages.
We welcome feedback to improve the ADRC Portal. If you have any feature requests or bugs to report, please submit them through the NACC Support Form. Choose “Technical Systems” as the topic, and then choose “Enhancement/Feature Request.”
New updates include Spanish C2T forms and acceptance of UDSv4 Down Syndrome data. The Roadmap provides a centralized view of progress across NACC’s data and technology initiatives.

The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration invites applications from postdoctoral researchers for its Holloway Postdoctoral Fellowship, supporting early career scientists whose research focuses specifically on frontotemporal degeneration (FTD), with up to two fellowships awarded for 2027. Applicants must hold a PhD, MD, or similar doctorate degree and have a postdoctoral appointment in effect for the full funding period of July 1, 2027, through June 30, 2029; current PhD candidates are eligible if beginning a postdoctoral position by July 1, 2027. Open to U.S. and international researchers; a letter of intent is required before a full application may be submitted.
NIA Mentorship Prize: 2026 Competition Recognizing Excellence in Aging Research
Mentorship Nomination Deadline: September 15, 2026, 5 pm ET
Award Amount: $100,000 per winning mentor, up to $600,000 total prize pool
The National Institute on Aging (NIA), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is accepting mentee nominations for the 2026 NIA Mentorship Prize Competition, which recognizes excellence in aging research mentorship. Current or former trainees may nominate an NIA funded faculty mentor; mentors who receive at least two nominations and meet eligibility criteria will be invited to submit a full application by November 23, 2026. NIA will award $100,000 each to up to six mentors, three in the early career category and three in the midcareer or established category, with prizes paid directly to the mentor's institution.
