Exploring the Power of MRI and Clinical Measures in Predicting AD Neuropathology
Date: Wednesday, April 1, 2026
Time: 3:00 - 4:00 pm ET / 12:00 - 1:00 pm PT
About this webinar: This presentation will demonstrate how combining MRI markers of vascular and structural brain changes with clinical cognitive measures can predict Alzheimer’s disease neuropathology years before death. Using large datasets from ADNI and NACC, we apply machine learning to identify the most informative brain and clinical features that forecast post-mortem pathology with high accuracy. For example, Dr. Kamal share how MRI-based biomarkers (particularly white matter hyperintensities) can improve early detection of Alzheimer’s pathology and can help improve risk prediction in aging populations.
This webinar is part of our Digital Pathology Webinar Series and is co-organized by Dr. Kurt Farrell of Mount Sinai ADRC and the Digital Pathology Working Group.Featured Speaker:
